The sub-windscreen is particularly subject to deterioration which, unlike the models W111 and 112, is constructed in one piece of pressed plywood; in addition, even the windows profiles are quite susceptible to distortions and delamination.
In this case the composite materials are particularly useful in restoring these pieces.
Even the longitudinal profiles, inserted in the door panels and made in solid Beech are especially prone to distortions and deformations. Included in this case the intervention will be decisively, but particularly intensive. After having milled the profiles in the adhering party to the door panel, shall be insert an extrude carbon fiber under pressure. This operation ensures an excellent dimensional stability and does not affect the exposed veneer.
